The verse:
God saw the wickedness of man and was grieved
He thought destroying man was how he should proceed
Noah was righteous and with God he did walk
His sons Shem, Ham and Japheth were family stock

All people everywhere on earth were corrupt
Leaving the way of God they'd just given up
About the worldly state the Lord did remark
That Noah and his sons should build a great big ark

Three hundred cubits length, then fifty by thirty
The ark had dimensions that would make it real pretty
Three stories standing tall, a window way up high
Seemed like the ark did reach high up to the sky

Noah knew a flood would come and all flesh would die
His family within the ark would stay really dry
Not to be lonely there, they had quite a zoo
They gathered all the animals, they got two by two

Then they did harvest food to put in the ark
Laboring through the day until it was very dark
Working fast while looking up with eyes to the heavens
Beasts that were clean to eat they herded by sevens

People did laugh with scorn at all Noah's work
They thought that his actions were extremely berserk
They wouldn't listen when he tried to raise up their fears
He lived and taught among them all for 600 years

Noah's kin and animals climbed up and got inside
Seven days they waited for the water's rising tide
The boat was all finished work, the wood sealed tight
Then rain came pouring down for forty days and forty nights

All things were covered, even mountains up so high
All flesh not in the ark did surely drown and die
Up then the wqter came the wooden ark did raise
Traveling upon the flood one hundred forty days

Wind pushed the ark up to the Mount of Ararat
Then water was assuaged for 40 days while Noah sat
HE sent out a raven with a dove to find some land
Wondering if they'd found the place that  God planned

Soon the dove returned bu without any sign
Of anyplace real dry where they could live real fine
Dove rested seven days then flew out again
Then brought back an olive leaf attached to a stem

Dove rested seven more then quick flew away
Did not return again, or come back to stay
Then all the animals were loosed to go upon the earth
God told them multiply, and to children give birth

Noah did sacrifice and gave God his praise
Rejoicing in the warming light from bright sun rays
God promised that the way he'd forever know
That the no more flood sign was a big rainbow
